How to Have Bigfoot Interaction

“Bigfoot Interaction”

By: Ron Morehead

This article is meant to help in the understanding of these creatures and to also aid the researcher in feeling at ease in their presence – easier said than done; however, they are not antagonistic.  Even though they live in the wilderness like an animal, they behave more humanistic than an animal, and considering them on that basis is important.  Just as humans have different personalities; these creatures also possess unique individuality.   Some will interact and some won’t.

Plan your trip into a specific remote area, suggestive of where these creatures may be. Plan a stay of at least two or three days… the longer, the better.  When dealing with humans they need to feel at ease with the environment that you’ve created… they need to become accustomed to you and you need to make them curious.   You should have a fixed exposed camp and a friend or two that share the same motive… winning the creature’s trust.  Make camp where other hikers or packers don’t frequent and don’t take dogs with you.   A small creek would be better than a lake – be off the mainstream trail.  They prefer to traverse waterways, minimizing their signs.

After setting up camp, take a walk.   In an attempt to interact or just perhaps announce your presence, find a small log (two to three-inches in diameter) and periodically strike it sharply two or three times against a larger log or tree trunk with a measured beat. The more resonant the sound, the better it carries. You may or may not hear a report back, but if you do and you are certain there are no other humans in the area, you’ve probably got the attention of a creature. Rocks struck together, one in the hand against a larger one on the ground, also work well in the same way.  Use a sequence of three strikes, and not too often.  I do not recommend trying to be stealthily while walking through the woods.  Unless it’s an accident you will not sneak up on one of these creatures, so be bold and get their attention.   If you’re intruding in an unacceptable area they may throw rocks, but they will not hit you with them—it’s just a warning—probably a young one in the area and they don’t want you there.

Wait until well after they’ve made their presence known before setting up camera-traps or deceptive devices… but have a pocket camera and recorder ready.  Because these creatures seldom reveal themselves except on their own time and terms; it’s important to not appear too aggressive.  They seem to have a high degree of sensitivity to humans and the human exploitations of them.  Therefore, an honest cheerful attitude is recommended.   After dark they may come in close, but will probably remain hidden from sight.  It’s common for them to announce themselves by snapping a large dried limb.  This is no accident; they are observing your response.

If you hear the definite crack of a limb or rhythmic striking of rocks continue what you are doing.  Their first displays may be intimidating but try to remain calm.  Do not shine your flashlight toward the sound or act alarmed.  If these creatures think they don’t have your attention they may come closer.  You shouldn’t be afraid, or embarrassed, to ‘talk’ to them. Using a calm voice talk as you would to a friend—they may interact so be prepared to record the event.    If you see movement and decide to try a camera shot with a flash you may only get one chance, but under the right circumstances it may be worth taking that chance. However, at that time your adventure might also end.

If you have repeated encounters while at this location you’re developing a rapport. I suggest you offer them a gift, such as food—not tainted food, good food—they are omnivorous.  If you’ve been collecting pinecones for a campfire don’t be surprised if when returning from a hike you find a pile of them placed somewhere in your camp.  Remember, a lot of people boastfully claim to have shot at a bigfoot, yet many of these creatures will still interact if not threatened—it’s up to us.

There is an enigma associated with these giants and I suggest ‘not’ underestimating them.  Be simple, relaxed, and not too analytical to begin with – just take what comes. The Sierra bigfoots that I dealt with are sentient beings, use cognizant thought, and possess language; have respect with what you’re dealing with; be there to learn.

While in the field you can try these techniques and others of your own invention.  It’s important to record your observations – take lots of notes, i.e., weather, food taken, traps considered/used, type of habitat (flora/fauna), etc.

Good Luck.

How to Have Bigfoot Interaction — 13 Comments

  1. I have seen a bigfoot on our property and hear one or more many nights. I know they exist, family that lives near me also hears the whoops and yells at night. Our dogs bark all night long on the nights that they come in close. Hunters have found many half eaten deer remains on our property. I am not afraid of them, a lot of our family will not venture out after dark. I do not think they intend to harm anyone, they are like the rest of the wildlife, they coexist as best they can.

  2. Yes i believe the bigfoot is for real. We all know the humans have gradually originated from simple and small life forms. The is thousands of years old. The ice age also went past it and what we call as bigfoot are known as yeti. They lived at that time and still have their existence.

  3. Bigfoot is probably real, but I doubt that video above is. Who would be in the middle of nowhere and just so happen to have a camera on them and is able to turn it on and hold it steady at the same instance that a giant man-like creature happens to casually stroll on by Sure. I agree, irresponsible people with nothing better to do are a big reason why many don’t believe. Their are so many undiscovered species and regions unexplored on Earth to definitively state BigFoot isn’t real. For all we know, Unicorns could exist.

  4. Yes, I’ve witnessed the tree limbs snapping from something quite huge and heavy walking close to my lean-to one night next to Curtis Creek. As it came closer to my camp, I sought refuge inside my truck turning on the high beams to observe whatever it was. Only seeing mountain laurel and trees, I lay down on the bench seat with windows rolled up and doors locked. Then I saw a huge silhouette of a 9 foot tall Bigfoot next to the driver’s door fiercely shaking the truck back and forth as if it were a Tonka toy. It’s size and strength was intimidating to say the least as I came unglued flying into the driver’s seat taking off with the pedal to the metal and blurting “she-it” before I knew it.

The following month I return alone at the same camp spot along Curtis Creek to face my fears and better preparing myself for another Bigfoot encounter. As I walked a forest path I observe 2 black hair Bigfoot atop a craggy knob peering down at me. I froze standing still on the forest path observing them, one was larger than the other. Then the smaller one descends quite rapidly approaching me in a curious manner as I observe her breasts. As she approaches even closer to me I see her black facial skin with deep cracks from extreme dryness as well as the back of her hands. I slowly reach into my pant cargo pocket pulling out a jar of Vaseline looking into her blood-shot dark eyes and say “Oh my, your face is soooo dry,” as I uncap the Vaseline jar smearing some all over my face smiling big. I cap the Vaseline jar and hand it to her, she has huge fist fingers. She takes the Vaseline jar uncaps it and smears some all over her hairy face with a light beard. Now she’s smiling big right back at me and I burst out laughing because her facial hair is sticking up in little peaks all over. And those huge human-like teeth with purple gums, oh my, what a sight to behold. Now the bigger one is coming down to see what fun he’s missing out on. As he approaches I observe a huge powerful chest with less hair and a much thicker facial beard. He takes the Vaseline jar from her inspecting first by smelling it. When they both turn walking back talking to each other, I observe less hair on their buttocks. Now I realize their just people like we are.

    • I definitely think Bigfoot is real. I live in the Pacific Northwest where most of siihtgngs have occurred and there are a lot of people who believe as well. If anyone journeys to the Seattle Museum of Mystery that have gathered a lot of evidence as to his exsistence.

  6. Looking forwards to gaining better knowledge from you.I have seen Sasquatch. Now it is time for me to learn more about them.I’ve been in the woods an casted prints, taken many different stick structures pictures an yes had them come an inspect my camp.Recorded them just feet from outside my tent while sleeping.Heard the knocks an howels, whoops an on occasion had a rock or stick tossed at me.Been followed out of camp on night walk’s.I have never had them communicate with me, that I am aware threw volcalization.I have talked with others whom had Squatch’s try grabbing them threw there tent’s.A NIGHT THEY WILL NEVER FORGET that was in there words with a little excitement in there voice. • Mike345 from what I understand the skunk ape is coidnsered a type of bigfoot too. Its kind of like its swamp cousin version. Mostly the same, but usually a bit smaller and seems to really stink, hence the name.
